Botany Bay Plantation Wildlife Management Area

Description:

Botany Bay Plantation Wildlife Management Area (approximately 4,700 acres). Managed by the SC Department of Natural Resources, it offers a 3-mile driving or cycling tour that covers forests, wetlands, farm land, a barrier island, and remnants of two historic plantations: Bleak Hall and Sea Cloud. Birds and wildlife of many species are plentiful. Turn onto Botany Bay Road, travel for 1.5 miles, then turn left into entrance. Kiosk at entrance offers a free map and other information.
